We are glad to let you know that our society is back with a lecture series entitled Literature and War.

At each meeting we will analyse a work either of fiction or non-fiction that deals with history and violence in the twentieth century and beyond.

This series is ideal for students sitting for IGCSES and A/AS LEVEL exams in History and English Literature, as well as for discerning readers of all ages.

On our first meeting we’ll analyse award winning author Richard Flanagan’s memoir: Question 7.

This book explores colonialism, the Pacific theatre of the Second World War, the atomic bomb, the endurance of love and the power of Literature to shape real-life events.
